The Empire has seen fit to increase the amount of crowns it offers its loyal citizens. The payout every 15 minutes for online time has increased from 100⚚ to** 1000⚚**. They will also pay players who are AFK in the game at *50%* the normal rate. Players with VIP ranks earn up to 20% more crowns. A new trader has come to town who can sell items to you from wherever you are. You can access his interface with /trader. For now, the Ethereal Trader is only offering building blocks but he will expand his offerings over time to be able to sell you any items you could need. His prices, while fair, can vary over time based on player-demand.

The goal of the entire economy is to create a system that rewards players for their time and creates an environment that encourages players to get out and build their empires. With the addition of the Ethereal Trader, players will eventually be able to buy items from a faux creative inventory, meaning there will actually be a use for the money you earn. It creates a gameplay loop of build > earn > buy > build that breaks up the normal gameplay loop of just digging for hours and building for minutes. However, because the server is vanilla otherwise, you have the option to completely ignore the economics of it.

As far as the Ethereal Trader is concerned, I am manually creating individual GUI pages for each “screen” you see when you look at his interface. This takes quite a bit of time to do and I will update you on my progress. Looking at .YML for so many hours a day is not good for a man’s health.
