Altharion was an ancient divine being who traveled through the cosmos, creating civilizations in his wake. His journey was marked by both success and failure, as each world he created eventually succumbed to its inherent flaws. As Altharion sought a perfect creation, he arrived at an empty region of space where he crafted Valora. It was his final attempt to create a harmonious world, one free from the flaws that had doomed his previous creations.

His creation of Valora was flawless in its design, and he imbued the land and its people with balance, harmony, and life. However, the corruption that had followed him from his previous failures continued to lurk, waiting for the opportunity to undo his work.

Appearance #

Altharion often appeared as a towering figure of radiant light, his form ever-shifting yet distinctly humanoid. His eyes glowed with a divine intensity, and his presence alone was enough to bring calm and awe to those in his presence. When he walked among mortals during the Golden Age, he was often depicted wearing flowing robes of light, with a crown of stars atop his head.

Altharion’s long journey across the cosmos was marked by countless failures, where civilizations he created collapsed under their own greed, pride, or fear. Learning from each failure, Altharion finally crafted Valora, imbuing it with balance and purity.

During the Genesis Age, Altharion nurtured Valora and its people. He empowered the three great families—the Goldheart, Silverwater, and Crimsonclaw families—with virtues of justice, wisdom, and strength, to maintain the realm’s stability. He often influenced the world from the heavens, appearing in dreams, sending signs, and intervening when necessary to keep Valora from falling to corruption.

As time passed, Altharion weakened, his strength diminishing as his constant presence strained his essence. In 650 VT, realizing that his prolonged presence was preventing the people from growing independently, and weakened by the growing corruption, he chose to die. His final act was to infuse the last of his divine life force into the crowns of the great families, granting them the power to endure and guide Valora in his absence. Altharion’s disappearance marked the end of the Golden Age and the beginning of the Age of Divergence.
