Date: 670 VT

Participants:

  • Theron Valenwood
  • Members of the Valenwood Family
  • Elite warriors of the Wildguard

Cause: With the increasing fear and distrust among the great families, Theron Valenwood realized that mere defensive wards, such as the Thornwood Wards, would not be enough to protect his people from the dangers lurking in Valora. He knew that an elite force was needed to actively patrol and defend Valenwood Grove and the surrounding Eryndor Wilds.

Story:
As darkness crept closer and suspicions deepened between the families, Theron Valenwood, a skilled hunter and strategist, called upon the bravest and most skilled warriors of the Valenwood family. These warriors would form the Wildguard, an elite force tasked with patrolling the vast Eryndor Wilds and protecting Valenwood Grove from outside threats—whether from rival families or the growing forces of corruption.

The Wildguard was trained in the ways of the wild, moving through the forests like shadows, skilled in both tracking and combat. They became a formidable deterrent to any who would dare challenge the Valenwood family. Though their primary mission was to defend the grove, they also served as protectors of the natural world, ensuring that the wilds remained untouched by corruption or destruction.

Outcome: The Wildguard became a legendary defense force, known for their loyalty and skill in battle. Their presence helped to maintain the Valenwood family’s power and kept the Eryndor Wilds safe from external threats during the Age of Divergence. However, the creation of the Wildguard also marked the growing militarization of the families as fear and distrust continued to spread.
