The Shadowbound are a secretive cult dedicated to Nyxilith, the goddess of shadows and nightmares. They live in the dark corners of Valora, manipulating dreams and sowing fear in the hearts of the living. They believe that by spreading Nyxilith’s influence, they will merge the world of dreams with reality.

Leadership:
The Nightmare Lords, powerful wielders of shadow magic, lead the Shadowbound. They are the chosen emissaries of Nyxilith and have the ability to manipulate fear itself.

Beliefs:
The Shadowbound believe that the world of shadows and nightmares is the true reality, and that through fear, they can control the waking world. They seek to blur the line between dreams and reality, allowing Nyxilith to reign over all.

Practices:
They engage in Dreambinding Rituals, where they invade the dreams of their enemies, trapping them in endless nightmares. They also perform Shadow Sacrifices, offering the souls of the fearful to Nyxilith.

Hostile Behavior:
The Shadowbound attack by manipulating the fears of their enemies, using shadow magic to conjure illusions and nightmares. They often strike from the shadows, using ambush tactics and fear-based spells to disorient their foes.

Common Locations:
They can be found in the dark, cursed forests of Gloomshade Hollow, where they perform their dark rituals in secret sanctuaries.

Appearance:
The Shadowbound wear black, hooded robes adorned with the sigils of Nyxilith. Their eyes glow with a ghostly light, and their forms often shift between solid and shadowy, reflecting their mastery of illusions.

Equipment:
They wield enchanted daggers and shadow-staves, capable of summoning nightmares and casting shadow bolts. They also carry Nightmare Relics, which allow them to enter the dream realm at will.

Weaknesses:
They are highly vulnerable to light and radiant magic, which can dispel their illusions and reveal their true forms.
