Date: 1500 BC

Participants:

  • Altharion – Creator of the civilizations
  • Corruption – A dark force born from the flaws of each civilization

Cause: Each failed civilization left behind remnants of dark corruption, growing from the greed, pride, and fear that caused their downfalls.

Story: The first signs of corruption appeared after the fall of the civilizations driven by greed. Small pockets of darkness emerged from the remnants of these societies, feeding on the greed that had consumed them. As Altharion moved on to new worlds, this corruption quietly followed, slowly gathering strength. With the collapse of the civilizations ruled by pride and then fear, the corruption only grew stronger, taking on a malevolent will of its own.

It became more than just a byproduct of failure—it was a force seeking to consume and destroy. By the time Altharion realized its true nature, the corruption had grown too powerful to easily contain. As he fled from one world to another, the corruption followed, tainting anything in its path and preparing to strike at Altharion’s next creation.

Outcome: The corruption became a persistent and growing force, silently following Altharion and ultimately threatening his later creations, including Valora. Its strength would later culminate in the birth of Zaroth, the Shadowed God, setting the stage for future conflict in Valora.
